Colin will be out of the store this week. He is attending the International Cyclefit Symposium in London on Wednesday and Thursday.

From the website:  "Cyclefit's International Symposium has guest speakers from around the world who are all in their own way leaders in their particular field. ICS is a unique event and the only occasion where all the disparate branches of cycling science and fitting community can come together for a collective learning experience."

Colin arrived a little early and is taking in some of the sites of London. Check back- we will hopefully get more pictures and updates on how the Symposium is going.

Parlee Z3 Custom

A lucky customer is taking this beauty to France to ride in the Pyrenees. I can't think of a better machine for the trip.

The Other bike, Ride.

So your "*Other bike" is setting in the basement/garage or where ever.

You just never seam to get it out to ride, Now is the time to air up the tires.
Cronometro is going to do "The Other Bike ride". Whatever your "Other bike" is, we don't care, just be at the shop Sunday, November 8th.
We will leave from the store after closing, around 4:30. And take a spin though Madison. Get some coffee, maybe an adult beverage.
The ride will be a social event, you know just an excuse to ride your "Other Bike"

You will need to bring a light! Time changed and it will be dark.
A lock might be a good idea as well. Depends on where we stop.
Just like everything you do on your bike, it will be fun!

*Cronometro defines Other bike as, The bike that you would ride if you had a reason.

Pre Easter Ride,

The weather was a little cool at the start. Somewhere around 35 degrees. But that didn't stop the riders. A total of 14 riders made it out today. 34.6 miles in a little over 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Andrew, Craig and Colin rode as long as they could. (Andrew rode in jeans)!

Mike, Dylan and Scott did the whole loop.

Thanks to everyone that joined in the fun.

Looking forward to doing it again!

Bicycle tire pressure.

Just as with your car tires, proper inflation pressure is very important to how your bicycle tires perform and last. And as with car tires, the most important variable that affects what the proper pressure should be is the load your tires are asked to carry. Thanks to more than a century of tire technology research, Michelin engineers have found that there's a certain amount of deflection in the tire profile that's optimal for balancing grip, efficiency, comfort and durability. That deflection is based on the tire's construction and the weight of the rider. Obviously, your style of riding can have an effect too, but the chart below should give you a reasonable guide of where to start when experimenting to find the proper tire pressure for you.

Information taken from Michelin's web site.
